Ailee "Don't Touch Me"

Ailee is hand downs my favorite solo singer/vocalist in Korean music right now (well, she's kinda tied with Hyorin cuz I just I cannot choose one).

I just love how vivacious her music has become is. This songs is so in yo face like "don't touch me. we done. good riddance. buhbye" and I LOVE IT!
We've seen her grow so much as an artist in such a short amount of time and she has really come into her own.
she's certainly made a name for herself in Korean music cuz HER VOICE. It literally gives me goosebumps and I know i'm not the only one. Its not easy to find a singer that can make you have an emotional response to their music but she does it so (seemingly) effortlessly. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HER OSTS! Even her covers are sooooo good. Like, her cover of "Stand Up For Love" and "One Night Only" gave me so much life.

I'm also glad that Ailee has remained a vocalist till this point. no matter how pop-y her sound gets,  you can still hear that VOCAL TALENT.
I was so disappointed when G.NA went full pop on us. cuz when I heard I'll Back Off So You Can Live, I fell in love with her voice INSTANTLY. I couldn't wait to hear more of her songs. But then she started releasing more Pop oriented songs and I got it; You gotta appeal to the masses but the songs just didn't do anything for me. They weren't really catchy or relatively fun to listen to for me. and..lets just say, it kinda went downhill from there.
Now, Back to Ailee.
one of the top rated comments on the Don't Touch Me MV was talking about how he/she "lost respect for her" because "her dancing was awkward and she's too skinny now".
After reading that I was just like

its one thing to be concerned for her health and safety as a FAN because her method of weight loss was unhealthy. but its another to claim you "lost respect for her" just because she went on a strict diet. EVERYONE has tried one extreme diet or another. It doesn't work for everyone but apparently it worked for her. Are you mad because you once tried it and it didn't work for you??

second of all, ITS HER BODY. let me say it again for the people in the back, ITS HER BODY. Yes, like I said before, the diet she described was unhealthy and risky but if you're on short time budget and you have a comeback coming up,  you're not going to be sitting around eating 6 times a day, drinking tomato juice and spending 3 hours at the gym. NEWSFLASH: that shit is hard! which leads me to last my point:
She.Is.In.the.music.industry! And not just ANY music industry, The KOREAN music industry. Which means the pressure to become a certain size or REMAIN a certain size is very high. do not blame Ailee for the way  the world works. unfortunately,  this is part of it. yes, you get the fans, the endorsements, the CHEDDA e.t.c but there is always a lot you have to give up, like eating delicious food and having a normal love life. Lawd knows I could never deal with that but that's why its HER life and not mine and guess what?  I respect that.

Secret/Secret Love Review

There's a thin line between love and hate - I don't know who originated this quote but they were right!

It takes about 4 episodes for you to get into it but once you're in, YOU'RE IN.

this drama should have been called the devil beside you because DO HOON. That's all i'm all going to say.

there are just some dramas that hook you and they don't let you go until its over. this is one of them
just the intensity of the emotions, all the mixed feelings (that were very well portrayed), just made it so addictive to watch. like everyone is losing their minds but you can't help but want to see more of it.
it took me like 3 days to finish this drama which is record! it usually takes me a month to finish a drama (because of school).
But since its summer I can just marathon it which is a fucking luxury that i'm going to miss so so so much when school starts again

Damn Ji Sung. That man is sex. not sexy, just sex. the way he talks and moves and smiles screams HOT DAYUM. And to be completely honest, At first glance, he's not THE most facially attractive Korean actor  (i don't even think he's in the top 20) but that doesn't mean he isn't good looking because the more you look at his face the more you realize how unique and handsome he is. I mean, dem cheekbones!  plus his brown eyes would make any woman melt. okay, maybe not ANY woman but certainly me.

in the last episode one of her prison bffs is pregnant (and married maybe? dunno) anyway, the father was Nigerian! that surprised me and cracked me up cuz I have never ever heard Nigeria being mentioned in a drama LOL. it was so cute hearing her say "naiigeeriahn". All the timed comments on Viki were like "I'M NIGERIAN, I'M NIGERIAN" and I wanted to be like "bitch me too!"

I watched the last scene like 50 times. i don't think I've felt this way about  a particular scene since Coffee Prince (my first drama aka my first love aka the drama that popped my Kdrama cherry).

this is a bit of a SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
But when they were about to make sweet passionate love and he sensually kissed her burn scar that
did something to my heart like i don't even know where to begin exactly. I got kind of emotional. it felt so symbolic. like he was accepting and loving her physical scars but he was also accepting her emotional scars, her mental scars e.t.c. it was like he was telling her "you don't have to hide this from me the way you hide it from other people. I love everything about you even the things you think is ugly. No scar will turn me away from you no matter how big or ugly it is. and I think she REALLY needed that. I was just so moved by the way he kissed and caressed her skin like even if she was covered in scars he would kiss every one them because it just won't change the way he feels about her. and he needed for her to know that.

I know some people were like "he shouldn't be with her cuz he 'abused' her" but i'm not sure i can agree with that; their situation was just too complex and complicated. when he met her, she was the person who killed his girlfriend and the unborn child he didn't even know about until it was too late. I personally think the way he reacted was completely real and expected. Anyway, after months of creepily stalking her, he realized that she was a strong, kind hearted and loving woman WHO DIDN'T KILL HIS GIRLFRIEND and then he got infected by that pesky virus called love. He never abused her when they got into a relationship.

I just want to say, it quite extraordinary  to find someone that loves you so wholeheartedly and really sees you in a light that nobody else sees you. it's such a blessing because you come across thousands of people every year and its like, how many of them would really understand you? how many of them would really care for you, like the real YOU, not the you that kind of wish you were? For me the answer is, if any, it would probably be very few.

I'm pretty sure i can go on and on about that scene but you get what I mean.

lastly, brilliant acting by everyone but specifically Hwang Jung Eum. I mean she was flawless!! She cried in like everyone episode (multiple times) and she was ON IT every single time in every scene. I've loved her since Little Mom Scandal and I'm so glad I got to see her in another drama. Cant wait see her other works

LASTLY AGAIN, I think everyone should watch this drama because it's fucking heart wrenching in the most beautifully satisfying way. Yes, you will cry, yes, you should invest in a new tissue box but also get ready to get invested in the characters cuz like I said before THEY WILL PULL YOU IN.

Queen In Hyun's Man Review

Kim Boong Do is the reason why women have unrealistic expectations of men. Like he is  ridiculously perfect. Handsome, charming, INTELLIGENT, funny e.t.c
he reminds of Kim Soo Hyun in My Love From Another Star. The two of them had some similarities for sure.

-I guess guys from the past are the same as guys from other planets. either way both of them can get it!

- this drama really appealed to my romantic side. I wasn't ready for all them kiss scenes. I know i'm single but damn! way to remind me!

- the chemistry between the two is impeccable (also i know that they started dating after the drama ended. I even remember when the story broke. I posted a comment online about how cute it was that he publicly confessed his love for her and my comment got like 300 likes. no joke. I wasn't expecting that.
- Hee Jin was in the hospital so many times in the drama like wtf. Lots of strange things were happening  and all, but it felt like she was in the hospital every 3 episodes.
- she was also in the rain alot. I felt like she was going to catch pneumonia for sure.
- the relationship in this was really authentic. we didn't have like one kiss scene in the last episode and they weren't boring with the man doing all the work and the woman just  being stiff as a wooden board. Instead there was equal participation and lots of kiss scenes which makes the couple look more realistic too me.

- I like that Hee jin was the person to initiate the relationship. She didn't chase after him but at the same time she didn't act like an 11 year old so that was good. Also in addition to being hot, effortlessly charming and intelligent, Boong Do was also very intuitive and a really fast learner. So it didn't take him forever to realize that she liked him. So basically he wasn't a babo so that was really good.

- Her manager was super annoying! she was meddling in Hee jin's life waaay too much. Like you are not her mother, dammit! And even if she was her mother, Hee jin is a grown ass woman that means she can make grown ass decisions about her own grown ass life. And I understand that she's her manager so she's trying to protect and preserve her career but if Hee Jin says "No, let me handle this. I got this". She should respect that and back off!
- Overall, the drama was very very sweet and heartwarming! It was light and refreshing but it also had some serious times.

Hottest Men of Mixed/Asian Ancestry Part 2

Heey! When I was making part 1 I never thought I was going to make a part 2 but I am! I made one! Also, I think I mentioned this in part 1 but I'm putting the spotlight on mixed Asian guys because I'm always fawning over Korean men but I don't exclusively find JUST Korean men attractive. To be honest, I find all types of people attractive. Paranormal Attractivity occurs in many, many individuals.

Anyway, Like I said last time, this is in no particular order.

Cary Fukunaga

(Japanese and Swedish)
Whether he has long hair and a beard or is clean shaven with short hair, he is still beautiful to me. I am so in love with him lol. He's an award winning director btw. I love my hipster jesus.

Mario Maurer

(German and Chinese)
GAH. What a cutie.

Hideo Muraoka

(Japanese and Brazilian)
There are too many good pictures of him like seriously. Its exhausting trying to pick.
here's a bonus:

Hideo carrying our first born child lol.

Booboo Stewart

(Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Native American, Russian and Scottish)
That last picture got me like

Last but CERTAINLY NOT least, we have:

Will Demps

 (African-American, Puerto Rican and Korean)
I would melt if I saw him in real life.
To everyone who viewed this:
