Dream Kdrama Pairings!

Dear Kdrama writers, please read this blog post and please understand that if you make these potential couples happen in your dramas, not only will you have lots of viewers and rake in that cash, you'll have people fainting and crying over the amount of chemistry they have. Please hear me out and understand that THESE COUPLES NEED TO HAPPEN DAMMIT. thank you.
the following contains pictures, gifs and videos to aid you in you're decision making.

Jo In Sung and Song Ji Hyo aka Frozen Couple
Because their scenes were, um, definitely far from frozen in Frozen Flower. I mean..

(yes, all the pics I posted are pretty tame. there's no way i'm posting pics of the super erotic, nude sex scenes they had. nuh uh. you're gonna have to look them up yourself. I only googled it for research purposes. I'm an innocent, pure young woman who would never post stuff like that.)

But seriously tho, I really want them to play completely different characters preferable in a rom com setting cuz Frozen Flower was HEAVY and DARK. But I still loved it tho.

Lee Min Ho and Yoon Eun Hye AKA Kiss Scene Olymopics Champs
Because they're both great kissers! I've been praying and hoping and praying and hoping they would do a drama together for YEARS!! When Yoon Eun Hye cameo'd on Personal Taste I was like
I started shipping it there and then even though she was only In like two scenes and we got like 10+ episodes of the build up for the main couple. No offense, Son Ye Jin but I totally forgot your character existed when Yoon Eun Hye showed up. But don't worry when she left I went back to normal.
Now, let's go into the evidence locker and pull out some stuff shall we?
GAME OVER KISS

Lee Min Ho puts his all into his kiss scenes! Like I remember when I was watching Personal Taste  he grabbed her and said "game over mida" I FUH REAKED OUT! I just knew this kiss would go down in history.
COLA KISS

Goddammit this scene is so flipping sexy! The fact that they're like all sticky and sweet and covered in cola just adds to it. Of course I'd like to give a special shout out to Kang Ji Hwan cuz he was  holding it down too but Yoon Eun Hye was definitely an equal participant here. In fact, all her kiss scenes have been flawless like IDK how she does this. She's got talent alright.

Just think about the magic that will manifest if we brought the two kissing champs together. The magic that will ensue. the effortless chemistry. GAH I need this one to happen. I've been wishing for this for YEARS! Make it happen Kdrama gods!! pleeese!

Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum
because Secret wasn't enough for me, I need to see them together again! Honestly Secret was a shocker fave for me cuz I did not expect to LOVE it as much as I do. It also made me realize that Ji Sung is sex personified and Hwang Jung Eum is a brilliant actress. Unlike the Frozen Flower couple, I want them to still star in another serious drama but maybe not as sad as Secret cuz I can't stand to see Hwang Jung Eum cry again. Just something that's really well balanced like intense and fast paced but also comedic with lots of romance juseyo.

Jang Hyuk and Jeon Ji Hyun
I didn't really like their character dynamics in Windstruck that much but they did but they look good together so i'm thinking maybe they can take on a different dynamic. i'm thinking, Lee Gun vs. Cheon Song Yi?? That would be wanjeun daebak! Two big personalities in one one Kdrama!? Sign me up!
They're both great actors, they're both good looking. have worked together before so the familiarity is already there.. like what are you waiting for? Start formulating a script!

And then there's Lee Gun

Lee Byung Hun and Kim So Yeon
i'm pretty sure I watched Iris like 2/3 years ago but guess what? I'm still mad that (SPOILER ALERT) their characters didn't end up together!! Their chemistry was so fucking palpable like when he would hold her hand or protect her or when she would comfort him and protect HIM?? GAH they were such a good match. I feel like the writers knew it and felt it but they were just like "well... she's the second female lead and we already started on this train with him finding his way back to the 1st female lead so... let's just stick with the original plan and stay on this train".
Shame on you writers!

I have nothing against Kim Tae Hee but like... I personally think Kim So Yeon is the superior actress by FAR but that's just me. Anyway, I could go on and go about why I think Lee Byung Hun and Kim So Yeon's characters were soulmates and should've ended up together in Iris but  you know what I would prefer? If they both starred in a completely new drama with new writers, new characters new EVERYTHING! I don't care what genre it is as long as they end up together.
every time I watched this video

I get so saaaad and then I start singing along with Baek Ji Young's flawless vocals then I have to remind myself that its just a kdrama but I can't help it!! They were just so beautiful together!!So much wasted potential.

K so that's it so far! I might make a part 2 if more ideas come to me but for now, these are the most urgent cases. I need them in dramas pronto!

I Hear Your Voice Review

tbqh one of the reasons why I started this drama was, well... I curious about the lucky woman who gets all that Ji Sung loving on a daily basis. Yep, the woman who plays the main character is married to sex personified, Ji Sung (from protect the boss and Secret).

AND Lee Da Hee (who plays Do Yeon in this drama) was in Secret too!! So she has acted with both Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young. Idk I just thought that was pretty cool.

Yoon Sang Hyun has gotten so much better looking with age. Not that he wasn't good looking before cuz he certainly was, but there's just something... hotter about him now I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it's the haircut? There's something about his eyes too. they have this sort of effortless smolder to them they're like mysteriously sexy and it seems like he doesn't notice at all. idk maybe it's just me.

Lee Jong Suk has the most perfectest lips i've ever seen on a living creature. Like, this man is beautiful it's absolutely crazy.
I'd also like to point out that both Jong Suk and Yoon Sang Hyun (Oska) were in Secret Garden! I personally think Secret Garden is an iconic Kdrama for multiple reasons but we're not going to get into that. Anyway, my point is, Jong Suk's character in SG was gay and he had an unrequited crush on Oska!! I find that so hilarious because it's like "since I couldn't have you in Secret Garden, I'm gonna steal yo girl in I Can Hear Your Voice".

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, let's get into the drama.
Our leading lady- Jang Hye Sung

Lawyer Jang's growth was so beautiful and  important. It was great to watch her slowly find value in what she was for a living rather than just doing it for a pay check.  As much as Lawyer Cha annoyed sometimes, he had a hand in her transformation. I really enjoyed their friendship because you could tell that they LEARNED from each other. It was also great because their personalities were so different. Honestly, I kind of enjoyed Jang's idgaf attitude in the first episodes. Yes, it was wrong but it was also hilarious. But I prefer who she became because she learned to use the skills that came natural to her. She always had the potential to be a kick ass defense attorney. All she needed was just some motivation and a high stakes situation to push her in the right direction. Overall she was hilarious and sassy and she didn't really have to do much to win me over. I was on side from the very first episode.

Our Golden Boy Park Soo Ha

I have so say, Soo Ha was pretty much perfect. Smart, extremely good looking, caring, great cook AND he can read minds. I felt soo bad for him because he was like a wounded puppy thrown into the rain and forced to fend for himself. He could've turned out to be a lot of things but luckily he found some inner strength and was able to keep his head on straight. Plus, the dream of meeting Jang Hye Sung again kept him going while he faced all the hardships. Whenever he would cry I would have this deep urge to reach into my laptop screen and give him the biggest and longest hug he's ever had. Honestly, It was hard for me to find faults in his character because he literally has none. He was so caring and compassionate and I really wished that after his father died, somebody had given him the kind of love and compassion he gave to others when he grew up. Because like I said, he could've turned out to be a lot of things He could've become a mean, heartless, cold jerk but he turned out to be the complete opposite.

Mr. Goody Two Shoes Lawyer Cha

I didn't think Yoon Sang Hyun could pull off a character like this but I was totally wrong.
I had mixed feelings about  Lawyer Cha. Like sometimes I would be like "aigoo.. he's so sweet! Why can't she like him!?" and then other times I would be like "Yep, he belongs in the friendzone". He annoyed be specifically when he realized that Jang liked Soo Ha.
In one scene he told Soo Ha to stop "acting" like a man because he's just a "kid in a suit". he also said that Jang was only taking care of him because he's a high school drop out with no future. and he basically told him to not think of it as anything other than pity (aka don't think she's in love with you cuz you're just a pitiful child to her).
anyway I found it annoying because he called Soo Ha a child yet he was the one being childish and delusional.
Like yes, Soo Ha is younger than you but 1) he's been taking care of himself for YEARS so he basically had like no childhood 2) You know damn well it's more than just pity. Don't lie to yourself.

Then again I know he was jealous and jealously tends to bring out the worst in all of us but for someone who always acted like he was some big ball of positive energy, he was being a real asshole.

BUT on the other hand, I still liked Lawyer Cha because he was a damn good lawyer. He really shined in court and made me go "ahhh.. you've got a point there" a lot. Despite the fact that he was in love with Jang, he was still able to be a good friend to her and he also had  lots of great advice.

Ice Queen Do Yeon

I really disliked Do Yeon for the most part because of her overly smug attitude. Especially after what she made Jang go through. I feel like their first conversation should have involved her at least addressing what happened. Instead she acted like she and Jang were like rivals or something. I wanted to grab her and be like "YOU HAVE NO REASON TO BE SNIPPY WITH JANG! YOU WERE THE ONE WHO WAS IN THE WRONG NOT HER, YA STUPID BITCH!". I know it happened when they were kids but I still felt like her reluctance to even address made it worse. but then again that was something she got from her father (the unwillingness to admit when you're wrong). I started to feel for her during the last 2-3 episodes tho, because it was just an awful situation to be in and I don't know how I personally would've handled it. I think it was really sweet how she eventually handled the situation and she also eventually apologized to Jang which was basically what I had been waiting for since the first episode. She finally allowed the ice around her heart to melt and she started to become a warmer and more open person which I appreciated.

In conclusion, I really really really liked this drama. It was mostly lighthearted and cute but also really well written.
My heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest when the last scene was over and the OST started playing. I wanted to talk about the last scene in more detail but this is already too long so i'm going to end it here.

Incarnation of Money Review

I feel like a born again Kdrama fanatic. This drama totally made me want to become a more clever person.
Just like Salaryman, it has this brilliant mixture of crazy intensity and satirical hilarity.
Cha Don/Kang Seok was like "A" for all them Fugly Little Liars and I.COULD.NOT.GET.ENOUGH.OF.IT.

I literally used to rush home from school just to make sure I had enough hours to watch it. It inspired me to get all my homework done as soon as I got home just so I wouldn't have to worry about it while I was watching this awesomely scripted/acted/directed show.
K lets begin:

Lee Cha Don
I have to say I really liked this character for unconventional reasons. A lot of comments on Viki were about their dislike for his corruptness but I loved it! Sometimes you just get sick of the super perfect, always doing the right thing, knight in shining armor lead characters. Sometimes you just want someone who is HUMAN. Characters who live in the gray area. Crazy, sarcastic, rude, 3 dimensional lead characters.
Sometimes he irritated me (especially when he was kinda mean to Jae In) but I appreciated the fact that he wasn't completely likable. Plus, He was so intelligent and cunning in the most satisfying ways!
A bunch of times he really had me like...

One scene in particular totally gave me goosebumps. I don't want to spoil it but all i'm going to say is, it involves a note and a bible quote. the end.

Kang Ji Hwan was looking so damn sexy being all smart and shit; like even with that questionable hair cut, I was still swooning over him. I was like "I have a list of people i'd like to get revenge on! Teach me your ways, Professor! I'm just so thirsty for knowledge!"

I felt like the thirst mobile pulled up right in front of me and snatched me up real quick.

Bok Jae In

Jae In totally started out as the character that most viewers probably underestimated. But honestly out of all the fierce female characters on the show, she totally took first place in the Baddest Bitch Contest. Her transformation (not just the physical one) was simply amazing. I just LOOVED the beautiful, independent, strong, brave, adorable and hardworking swan she turned out to be. I also want to add that her character was pretty sassy and no-nonsense from the beginning, but I think what really changed was her drive and her goals. She became a more realized character. Anyway I could go on and on about her so I'll stop.

Jeon Ji Hoo
I loved that she was such an investigating ass bitch. she always asked all the right questions plus her entry into the show was pretty bad ass.She had that one little downfall towards the end but hey! nobody's perfect so don't judge her! Yes, she did falter a bit but she eventually sucked it up and did the right thing.

 Ji Se Kwang

Unfortunately, I hate to admit this, but found ji se kwang soo attractive.I'm sorry I'm a sapiosexual! He was just so smart and such a quick thinker and I really liked it but at the same time I HATED him. It was was so frustrating cuz he's not even hot! arrgh chincha. I have issues.
He was a great villain tho. I wouldn't feel as satisfied to see his downfall if he was a slow and stupid villain. He also had THE biggest god complex ever. he really thought he's like the alpha and the omega. the divine decider of what is good and bad. It's crazy but people like that actually exist in this world.

Eun Bi Ryung

Her love for Se Kwang is the type of shit you pray against. like baptize yourself multiple times a day, sleep with the bible under your pillow every night and do that 40 days 40 nights fasting... because that kind of love is a fucking curse.

this is the type of shit that'll have you in church 8 days a week, sipping that holy water. you'll find yourself praying against it like

I named Cha Don/Jae In The Hideous Hairstyle Couple because those hairstyles were just...no. There's no way I was going to end this review without addressing the elephant in the room.

Some days her bowl cut looked alright but other times it looked liked it was 2 seconds away from levitating off her fucking scalp.

And I don't even know where to begin with Ji Hwan Oppa's hair cut. Luckily he's good looking so it didn't look as bad as it COULD'VE looked.

That hairstylist did not know what s/he was doing at all. You have two good looking actors and you give them THAT?! They really could've benefited from a better hairstylist.

ANYWAY, This drama totally set the bar for what i'll be expecting from dramas henceforth.

I can't deal with anything less than spectacular after this. The bar has been set too high.
